This notice is about this website. The Ebbe application runs at a separate address and has its own privacy notice, which you can open from the app.

What this website does not do

This is a static website: your browser fetches a set of files; there is no server-side application and no user account. In particular:

• No cookies are set, either by this site or by a third party. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing for you to consent to (§ 25 TDDDG).
• No third-party content is embedded: no external fonts, maps, videos or social media buttons. The site uses the typeface already provided by your operating system.
• There is no account and no contact form on this website.

• There is no audience measurement, analytics or tracking — not even in an “anonymous” form.

The small forecast on the front page is calculated entirely in your browser. The figures you choose are neither transmitted nor stored and disappear when you close the page.

Connection and server logs

To deliver and secure the site, the web server and the upstream infrastructure log in particular your IP address, time, method and requested address, status code, referrer and browser identifier. The logs are used only for delivery, fault diagnosis and attack detection. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

On that basis, conspicuous addresses are blocked automatically and for a limited time — after many failed requests in quick succession, for instance. What is blocked is the address rather than a person, and the block lifts by itself. Technical failures create supplementary error entries; these too are used only for operation, troubleshooting and security.

Access and error logs are deleted after at most 30 days.

Recorded visits are deleted after at most undefined days.

Hosting

This site is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH on servers in Falkenstein, Germany. The host processes the connection data named above on the operator’s behalf and is a recipient of that data. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the host.

Links out

This site links to the Ebbe application, the source code and the support platforms currently offered. They are ordinary links: nothing is loaded from those providers until you follow one. Their own privacy notice then applies; in particular, they receive your IP address and may process further account or payment data depending on the service. The operator may also receive information made available in the support platform’s dashboard. Ebbe itself receives no payment data.

Recipients, third countries and automation

Recipients are the host named above and any CDN. Further recipients arise only when you follow an external link.

The processing locations of the infrastructure used are named above; for external links, the respective provider’s information about possible transfers outside the EU or EEA applies. There is no automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR on this website. The temporary blocking of conspicuous addresses described above is not such a decision: it concerns an address rather than a person, and has no legal effect.

Your rights

In particular, you have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability under Art. 15 to 20 GDPR. Because this website stores no personal data outside the time-limited logs, an access request will usually confirm that there is no further data to disclose. The application has its own privacy notice and provides account data export and deletion directly in the account settings. An email to kontakt@ebbe.onl is enough for a request.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR

You may object at any time to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. Processing will then stop unless compelling legitimate grounds or legal claims prevail. Send your objection to kontakt@ebbe.onl.

Changes

If the way this website works changes, I will update this notice and the date shown above.
